Turner wants impressive display

Hartlepool boss Chris Turner has called for a strong display in the final pre-season friendly at York this weekend. Turner saw his side narrowly escape from relegation last season and wants his charges to show added commitment at Bootham Crescent. He said: "York are on the back of two very good seasons and they were very unfortunate not to achieve promotion last term in the play-off final. "I've said before that results in pre-season don't really concern me but it's more about what the players put in to the performance. "We all want to se a display from the team that gives us heart and encouragement for the new season and that's what I'll be asking for."
