Monkhouse back from ban for Pools

Colin Larkin has started on the left in Monkhouse's absence and could find himself relegated to the bench.

Striker James Brown started his first game since November in the reserves' 1-1 draw against Lincoln in midweek, scoring Pools' goal in a 70-minute run-out.

He is unlikely to come into the starting line-up against the Shrimpers but should be utilised from the bench once again having played just over an hour's football in the last three first-team matches.

Centre-back Ben Clark sits out the last game of a three-match ban picked up playing for the reserves.
