MK Dons boss Karl Robinson is set to name the same side that beat Swindon last weekend.Midfielder Stephen Gleeson (muscle injury) remains sidelined along with striker Aaron Wilbraham (back).
Hartlepool could be without striker James Brown, who is struggling with an ankle injury.
Midfielder Fabian Yantorno and club captain Ritchie Humphreys are both pushing for starts but defender Neil Austin (ankle) is not ready to return.
Hartlepool United boss Mick Wadsworth told BBC Tees:"I think you're conscious people are watching, people back home will tune and you're conscious that any football supporter is watching us on that day.
"It's really important that the players give a good account of themselves as individuals but also as a team because we want to be seen to be a good team.
"They're a very good home team with some very good players, and they're going to be a very tough nut to crack."
