Leeds welcome back defender Patrick Kisnorbo and midfielder Neil Kilkenny from injury.
Boss Simon Grayson also has midfielder Max Gradel and loan signings forward Gary McSheffrey and defender Shane Lowry available.
Hartlepool director of sport Chris Turner told BBC Tees:
"Saturday is the biggest game of the week for them with Norwich a few points ahead and looking very strong so Leeds will need to keep winning.
"They'll swap one or two around on Saturday, get some fresh legs because they've got the northern area final against Carlisle on Tuesday."
Leeds United manager Simon Grayson told BBC Radio Leeds:
"They're a decent team, they've got some threats. They are like any team in our division, if you don't give them the respect they deserve, don't work hard against them, then you'll get beat.
"We want to get back to being resilient, hard to beat, and try and start winning away from home.
"If we want to start accumulating more points we have to start doing it both home and away. Starting at the weekend will be a great opportunity but we know it's going to be a difficult game."
