Collins strike in vain

Hartlepool were held to a 1-1 draw by Blue Square Premier side York in their final pre-season fixture. Skipper Sam Collins netted his second goal in as many games to give the Pools the lead after just five minutes. However, prolific City frontman Richard Brodie netted the equaliser just before the break with a header that United goalkeeper Scott Flinders should have done better with. Chris Turner's side start their League One season next Saturday at promoted Rochdale.
