Behan eager for pre-season action

Hartlepool striker Denis Behan will gladly take any game time offered to him during pre-season as he tries to get back to full fitness. Behan spent a month on the sidelines with ankle ligament damage at the back end of last season and has been working hard throughout the summer in a bid to rediscover his sharpness. The 26-year-old, who featured in Pools' 3-0 victory over South Shields on Tuesday night, said: "In Holland I got the first half of the first game and the last 10 of the second. "It's minutes you want with four more friendly games coming up." "That's what you need at the start of the season to get your sharpness up. "I'll take minutes anywhere I can get them so that I can try to get in the team for the start of the season."
