Hartlepool United striker Denis Behan could be out for the rest of the season after picking up a suspected ankle ligament injury.The former Cork City man was brought off on a stretcher during Tuesday's reserves defeat against Rotherham.
OTHER CLUB HEADLINES:
The Sunderland forward, 24, is enjoying his fourth different loan spell since signing for the Black Cats in 2006 and after his clinical treble in Saturday's 3-0 home win over Southend is determined to find some consistency.
The Irishman was signed on loan from Sunderland last month and showed his prowess in front of goal as the Pools moved six points clear of the bottom four to pile more misery on Southend, who had Alan McCormack dismissed.
The striker, signed on loan from Sunderland, coolly finished twice in the first half and then in the 90th minute to see off the Shrimpers, with whom he spent a month with earlier in the season.
On-loan striker Roy O'Donovan struck a clinical hat-trick as Hartlepool eased to a valuable win over Southend.The Sunderland man opened the scoring when he latched on to Adam Boyd's pass and rattled a shot in off the bar.

Monkhouse has completed his suspension having been booked for the 10th time this season.
